FW 2.7 Releasing Later This Month

On the Psyonix forums, many users have been reporting that they have been getting signed out of PSN while playing Psyonix’s Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars. This prompted Psyonix-Corey, a member of their development staff to reply with this :

Hey Guys -

I’ve been working with Sony trying to reproduce and solve the PSN sign-out issues some of you report.

Any info you can generate will be really helpful. Sony mentioned a bug they fixed with the next system software update (2.70) that might resolve these issues, but we have to narrow it down and verify it’s the same problem to be sure it’s that and not something we need to fix on our end.

IIRC it will drop later this month. And contain lots of fun new fixes. I’m excited about this one, lots of new stuff. :)

Though, I dont think I can mention any of them just yet.

As always, Everyday Playstation will keep you updated with this issue.

    I think it’s smart to take this with a grain of salt, but It would’ve been fantastic though! Have hope :)

    Yeah. BUT, the thing is, there hasn’t been a new FW in a long time. We are due for one.

    i hope this new firmware is able to fix my ps3 disc problem, i just updated to 2.6 and now i can’t even play any of my games, only thing that plays is cd-rom, dvds.
